3 Ubaya Alumni won Nanyang Scholarship

SURABAYA – 3 Ubaya alumni namely Airin Sukaraharja, Indra Susanto, and Samuel Chandra won scholarship from Nanyang Technology University (NTU) Singapore. The 3 students who graduated from Ubaya Chemical Engineering Department won the NTU scholarship that is only granted for 4 Indonesian students.

“Nationwide, the total scholarships are 4 and by chance, 3 of them are Ubaya alumnus and 1 is from ITB Chemical Engineering Department,” said Airin on Tuesday (15/6).

This master degree scholarship is granted by NTU in conjunction with Stanford University USA. Winners will study at Stanford for 2 months and continue at NTU for 1 year. Airin is the 2006 academic year student, while Samuel and Indra are the 2005 one. “The scholarship will enable us to study at Stanford for 2 months and continue at NTU for 1 year,” added Airin. The scholarship is worth USD 14,000 for studying at Stanford University and SGD 40,000 for studying at NTU.
